Eugenia Marqués-López and Raquel P. Herrera. Hydrogen Bonds as an Alternative Activation.. John Wiley & sons, 2012. Vol., p.175-198
In the last decade, catalysts acting by hydrogen bond interactions have represented a significant contribution in the organocatalytic area and they have received a special attention by numerous researcher groups. We want to show in this chapter our small contribution in this field using chiral thioureas organocatalysts in several reactions. In this sense, diverse organocatalyzed processes will be illustrated giving in each case a plausible mechanism proposal, which have become a precedent for further explored reactions. Among the developed methodologies, examples in Friedel-Crafts alkylation reactions, aza-Henry or Michael addition reactions will be discussed and highlighted
